The Porphyria Centre of Barcelona is located within the Hospital Clinic of the University of Barcelona. It accepts patients and it offers treatment of all type of porphyrias in coordination with dermatology, hematology, internal medicine and emergency Hospital units.
The porphyria laboratory (biomedical diagnostic centre) offers full diagnostic and testing services including biochemical classification of all type of porphyria and genetic identification of mutations. It receives internal and external samples.
Both clinical and laboratory qualified staff offer expert advice to physicians, health care professionals, patients and families.
